Global Cannabis Partnership announces launch of a Global Cannabis Trade Association

The Global Cannabis Partnership (“GCP) is proud to announce the launch of a trade group called the “Global Cannabis Trade Association”, or the “GCTA” for short.

As an international focal point, the GCP believes in a united and inclusive industry to foster collaboration and communication as our sector continues to expand. The GCP works on this through the management of best practices, social responsibility, transparency, and accountability.

Housed under the GCP, the GCTA will be dedicated to continued engagement and communication with all areas of the international cannabis sector. It is the first of its kind to bring businesses together and provide the types of information needed for success, all in one location.

With 2 membership types available, individuals and businesses can gain access to a community of organizations throughout the supply chain vertical, curated business information, and exclusive industry content to support the development needs of your organization.

Starting at $99 a year, our member site features a calendar of events for Canada and abroad, and access to items such as general education and webinars. A full membership will provide exclusive access to event discounts, opportunities for speaker sessions, open RFP bids, international trade development support, and more. All members will also be able to highlight their international business developments, through the feature post section. As the cannabis industry matures and expands on a global scale, the GCTA is here to support inclusive engagement and continued industry growth.

The GCTA is being launched by several long-time veterans of the cannabis space.

Alex Revich is spearheading this initiative and has been active in the cannabis sector since 2013. He was present at the outset of the Canadian Medical Cannabis Industry Association (CMCIA) where he served as chair of various committees and held the position of Executive Director. Over the years he has had many different roles in the industry and has helped with organizing conferences both in Canada and internationally. Alex will serve as the Chairperson of the Board for the GCTA.

Stephanie Bach had her start in the cannabis and hemp space in 2007 as a plant biotechnologist at the Alberta Research Council (now Innotech Alberta). She has an undergraduate degree in molecular biology, a graduate degree in plant breeding & genetics, and now runs her own regulatory and consulting firm. She has a strong background in agriculture & food, via 15 years of experience in the Ontario and Alberta industries. She has worked for several Licence Holders in cultivation, processing, and food production. Stephanie currently serves as the Executive Director of the GCP.
