General Counsel (External)

David was called to the Alberta Bar in 1990 and has, from that time onwards, practiced at Parlee McLaws LLP in the area of corporate securities and capital markets. His practice is focused on securities transactions, stock exchange listings, private placements and capital formation, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

He has represented issuers, brokers and agents on a number of public offerings, private placements, and regulatory compliance matters for issuers listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) and the Canadian Securities Exchange (CSE).

David enjoys providing governance, guidance and mentorship to issuers who are scaling up their businesses and eventually to their successful exits. David graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Alberta. He is also a graduate of the Canadian Securities Course and was awarded his King’s Counsel designation in 2024.
